Tom Hogeland Joins DFS Staff
Tom Hogeland has joined Data Flow Systems, Inc., of Melbourne, Florida, as Business Development Manager.
Mr. Hogeland brings over 35 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry to DFS. He worked for 15 years as Utilities Operations Superintendent for the city of Melbourne, managing both water and wastewater operations. He also supervised utility groups in the city of St. Cloud, Brevard County and The Villages and previously worked 10 years in utilities construction.
He moved back to the private sector in 2005 to work as a manufacturer's representative for L.J. Ruffin & Associates. For the last three years, Mr. Hogeland was a regional accounts manager for Mueller Service Co., a division of Mueller Water Products, Inc., where he established relationships, negotiated contracts with utility management and developed manpower and business forecasts.
Mr. Hogeland holds multiple licenses and certifications in several states and is a prominent member of several professional organizations. He currently serves as Chairperson for the AWWA/FL (American Water Works Association – Florida Section) Distribution Symposium and teaches water distribution and wastewater collection certification classes for the FWPCOA (Florida Water Pollution Control Operators Association).
At Data Flow Systems, Mr. Hogeland will focus on expanding the roles of the company's value-added resellers around the country and intensifying DFS's operations in the Southeast.
